    Moloch – Thorny devil

    Otherwise known as the thorny dragon, this lizard is definitely in need of spa treatment

    This lizard is weird; its body has conical spines all over it, even on its head and above its eyes. Despite looking like a nightmare, it is one the least aggressive of all the lizards on earth. They only eat ants; they can consume between 600 and 2,500 of them every day.

    The lizard uniquely gets its water. The thorny dragon can absorb water from every part of its body because any moisture that enters the spaces between its thorns is pulled to its mouth by capillary action. As of now, thorny devils appear to be widespread and unlikely to be under any threat.
