Conraua – Giant frogs

Sub-Saharan frog giants that are commonly known as Slippery frogs

Much of the information on this family comes from the most famous member, the Goliath frog, the largest known frog species. Individuals may weigh up to 4 kg (8 pounds). The goliath frog tadpole is the same size as the tadpole of an average frog, but it just keeps growing.

These frogs spend most of their lives in or near clean, fast-running bodies of water, such as waterfalls and streams. They are aquatic creatures; born as a tadpole; it grows to adulthood in the water. They are one of only a few amphibians still alive that lived on Earth before the dinosaurs. But they are endangered now.
